At the Tenaha City Council's special called meeting Monday night, members voted to re-evaluate the position and pay structure for utility supervisor Wes Wheeler at next Monday's regular meeting.
The decision was made after the council met with utility consultant Stacy Cranford in executive session to discuss Wheeler's job performance.
Tenaha Council members are also expected to discuss changing Wheeler's title to waste water operator and changing his pay structure to hourly.
The City of Tenaha recently had to pay a $38,000 fine to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for not properly handling water issues.
