The cause of a house fire in Joaquin last night continues under investigation as volunteer fireman were dispatched to a house fire on County Road 3173, off Hwy. 7 West just before 7. The homeowner, with assistance from family members was able to contain the blaze to the front of the structure. Fireman snuffed the remainder of the fire when they arrived. It’s reported the house sustained heavy fire damage in the front bedroom, along with smoke damage throughout. The Joaquin Volunteer Fire Department responded with four trucks and 11 firefighters.
