Doctors to continue with local practice despite ETMC affiliation

To bring you up-to-date on a story we had earlier this week, I spoke with Christy Tompkins, clinic manager for ETMC in Center, and she advised patients of Dr. Jane Todd and Dr. Harvey Dayton should receive a letter by mail today informing them of the physician's future plans after the ETMC affiliation ceases on August 15.

Ms. Tompkins said that both Dr. Todd and Dr. Dayton would continue to see patients after ETMC pulls out of Center. She said physician assistants Suzanne Middlebrook will be on medical leave, and Aaron Singh would be transferring to Carthage.

We had told you this week that Dr. Craig McMullen and Family Nurse Practioner Cicily Cross Blair would be opening a practice adjacent to ETMC hospital in Carthage on Aug. 15.

As for Dr. Chandra, Ms. Tompkins said the doctor has been on medical leave, and she's had no communications with her as to her plans.

ETMC in Tyler said in June they would cease affiliation with the three clinics in Center, citing it was longer economically possible.
