Tenaha's Walter Peddy lone finalist for Douglass ISD superintendent

The Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel is reporting this morning that Tenaha ISD’s deputy superintendent of curricular instruction, Walter Peddy is the lone finalist to become the new superintendent of the Douglass ISD.

 

The announcement will become official after a state mandated 21-day waiting period. Peddy was among 37 applicants for the position. He was among two finalists for the job.

 

Peddy said in a press release he was excited to work with the Douglass Board of Trustees and the community of Douglass to continue building on the tradition of excellence in academics and athletics. Peddy added it was a great fit for his family.

 

The 14-year educator is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from SFA.
