Mangum Funeral Home announces the death of 84-year old Christine Green Paxton of Tenaha. She passed away Wednesday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. The family requested a cremation and no service is planned. Her cremains will be buried next to her husband at Restland Cemetery in Tenaha. Christine Green Paxton is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Paxton Byrd of Center. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations for funeral expenses can be made to Shelby Savings Bank in Center, in the name of her daughter, Cynthia Byrd.

The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at 10 Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in San Augustine. Among Don Bretz’s survivors are his wife, Edlina (Lina) Bretz; children, Ronnie Bretz, Randy Bretz, Donnie Bretz, Scott Page, Suzy Inmon, Reed Bretz, James Smith, Heath Hebert, Tina Motley, Angel Northcut and Bobbie Ledger; and brother-in-law, Garline Wood.
