Funeral Notices: 7/3/14

Mangum Funeral Home announces the death of 84-year old Christine Green Paxton of Tenaha. She passed away Wednesday at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. The family requested a cremation and no service is planned. Her cremains will be buried next to her husband at Restland Cemetery in Tenaha. Christine Green Paxton is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Paxton Byrd of Center. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations for funeral expenses can be made to Shelby Savings Bank in Center, in the name of her daughter, Cynthia Byrd.

 

Watson & Son Funeral Home announces service for 52-year old Joe StephenStevie” Bush of Shelbyville. Service will be at 2 this afternoon at Watson & Sons Chapel, with interment at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

 

Taylor Funeral Home announces service for 53-year old Clayton Moore Taylor of Timpson. Service will be at 10 this morning at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson.

 

Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine announces a memorial service for 82-year old Donald “Don” Frances Bretz of San Augustine. He passed away Wednesday after a lengthy illness. The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at 10 Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in San Augustine. Among Don Bretz’s survivors are his wife, Edlina (Lina) Bretz; children, Ronnie Bretz, Randy Bretz, Donnie Bretz, Scott Page, Suzy Inmon, Reed Bretz, James Smith, Heath Hebert, Tina Motley, Angel Northcut and Bobbie Ledger; and brother-in-law, Garline Wood.

 

Hicks Mortuary of Center announces service for 105 year old Edith Gardner of Center. Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Zion CME Church, with burial at Westview Cemetery in Center. Repass will be at Mt. Zion CME Church.

 

Sid Roberts Funeral Home in Nacogdoches announces service for Michael E. Barnes. Visitation will held prior to service be from 9 to 10 Saturday morning at True Vine Baptist Church in San Augustine. Service will be at 11 a.m., with burial at St. Luke Cemetery in San Augustine.
