Man, woman arrested by Timpson PD with illegal drugs after traffic stop

A man and woman were arrested by Timpson Police Tuesday afternoon in possession of illegal contraband.

Chief Kent Graham says he performed a routine traffic stop on U.S. Hwy. 59, and when the suspects began to act suspicious, he received consent to search the auto, and found in a natural void, Meth and Heroin.

Chief Graham said his search netted eight grams of meth and a half-gram of Black Tar Heroin. He added the street value was a little under a thousand dollars.

Arrested and charged were 36-year old Robert Dacus of Dallas, and 35-year old Ryan Michelle Warner of Longview. They were booked on two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance each for the Heroin and Meth.

Chief Graham reports Warner had to be taken to San Augustine Memorial Hospital after arriving at the Shelby County Jail for seizures. He said after she received medical clearance, she was formally charged.

Chief Graham said they were in the Timpson area visiting family.
