San Augustine County Commissioners hire Nacogdoches architectural firm to do drawings

In an effort to stay in full compliance with the law, the San Augustine County Commissioners' Court agreed at Tuesday's meeting to hire a Nacogdoches architectural firm to render drawings for fire walls within the county jail after they weren't included in the renovation in 2000, according to County Judge Samye Johnson.

Also, commissioners' approved the appointment of three new members to the San Augustine County Historical Commission. They include Vonzella Garner, Connie Owen and Suzanne Sowell.

Judge Johnson added the court looks forward to working with San Augustine ISD Interim Superintendent Dr. Virginia Doherty Liepman, who was introduced at the meeting. She comes back home to San Augustine after serving in the Pasadena ISD as an elementary school principal.
