We have the rodeo event results of last weekend’s 61^st annual Shelby County Sheriff’s Posse PRCA Rodeo.

In Bareback Riding: Friday night’s event was won by Matt Smith of Leesville, La., who had a score of 81; while Saturday night’s winner was Jake Chote of Dayton with a 76.

Steer Wrestling: Taking 1^st place Saturday night was Lloyd Goodman of Beaumont with a time of 3.7 sec.

Tie Down Roping: Two night results-1^st place to Shane Hanchey of Sulphur, Louisiana. The 2013 World Champion had a time of 8.4 sec.

Team Roping was won by Jose Corpus and Kenneth Grey.

Barrel Racing was super close as six-tenths of a second divided first through fifth places. Taking first was Allison Pratt of Center with a time of 16.38 seconds; Hollie Griffin of Joaquin was second at 16.39 sec; Gabe Gilbin of Nacogdoches, third with 16.44 sec; fourth place went to Laine Holman of Garrison at 16.74 sec; and fifth was Kalie Vaugh of Center with a time of 16.96 seconds.

Bull Riding: Friday’s first go-round-first place was Jordan Sammons of Plevna, KS with a score of 80; and Clint Andrews of Axtell, TX won Saturday night’s go-round with a score of 80. Second place Saturday went to Randy Myers of Logansport with a 71.
