In Panola County, two Center brothers have been arrested for theft of property and criminal trespass. According to the Panola Watchman newspaper, 32-year old Jeffrey Alan Haley and 21-year old Jody Samuel Haley were taken into custody by Sheriff Kevin Lake Wednesday afternoon taking scrap metal from a residence in the Galloway area near the Louisiana border.

The article said Sheriff Lake stopped the duo and they said the property owner had given them permission to remove the metal, after contacting the person named, they denied giving the men permission to take the scrap.

Both men were charged and being held on $5,000 bond, $2,500 for each charge at the Panola County Jail.
