61st Shelby County Sheriff's Posse PRCA Rodeo set for June 6 & 7

Next week is rodeo week in Shelby County, as the oldest continuous rodeo in East Texas will be held June 6 & 7 at the Shelby County Expo Center. The 61st annual Shelby County Sheriff’s Posse PRCA Rodeo promises loads of family fun, excitement and at a reduced admission, according to Boo Klein.

Klein says all tickets pre-sale and at the gate are $5, and available pre-sale at Boles Feed, Triple J Feed and Wright Chrysler Dodge Jeep. You’ll be able to save a dollar Saturday night at the gate by just wearing your western hat. Kids 6 and under get in free. There will be a calf scramble each night for kids 10 and under with cash prizes.

Entertainment will be provided by three different East Texas Equestrian Drill Teams. The Rustlers, the 4-8 year olds; The Young Guns, the 8-14 year olds; and The Roughriders, age 15 & up.
