Testimony begins today in Deedra Grubbs' Capital Murder Trial

Shelby County District Attorney Ken Florence tells us testimony will start this morning in Deedra Grubbs' captial murder trial in Judge Charles Mitchell's 273rd District Courtroom.

 

Jury selection was held yesterday.

 

The 39-year old stands accused for her part in the murder of Martha Acevedo-Chan, and shooting assault of Quinton "Sam" Watts and Marilyn Retamar in April 2012 at the Joaquin Country Inn.

Her husband,

Bobbie Dewayne Grubbs was sentenced to life in prison without parole by Judge Mitchell last week for the crime after being found guilty by a jury.

 

Deedra Grubbs faces the same punishment if found guilty. She’s represented by court-appointed attorney Deck Jones.
