Shelby County Commissioners' Court Meets at 9:30 Tuesday

Shelby County Commissioners will have a special meeting at 9:30 Tuesday morning, and among the agenda items for discussion and possible approval will be a presentation from District Attorney Ken Florence in regards to pay Justice Systems software, case management program in the amount of $4,200; approve Memorandum of Understanding between Shelby County Indigent Health Care and Indigent Healthcare Solutions for the software increase of $4 a month; renewal of the termite contract with East Texas Exterminating for the historic courthouse; moving $50-thousand from the general fund, to be split equally between Pct. 1 and 3, to lay asphalt on County Roads 1000 and 3203 to improve road conditions; and purchase of a portable storage climate controlled building to be used to house files for the District Clerk and County Clerk’s offices.

 

In addition, County Extension Agents Lane Dunn and Jheri-Lynn Smith will address the court to present the county with “Building a Better Texas Award” and signing of a Centennial resolution.
