Barbara Jean Sigler Cruse, 81, of Center, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in Bronson, Texas.  She was born on October 21, 1943, in Center, Texas, to the late Wesley Griffin and Louise (Campbell) Griffin.  

Funeral service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Mangum Funeral Home, with Bro. Kevin Windham officiating. Interment will follow at Short Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Mangum Funeral Home. 

Barbara was raised in Shelby County. She married the love of her life, Charles Everett Sigler, on July 15, 1961. They had four children. After Charles passed in 2004, Barbara later married Fred Cruse, and the two spent several years together before his passing. Barbara loved her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. She enjoyed spending time with them. Barbara loved gospel music; her favorite was attending Gospel Jamboree’s. She also enjoyed shopping and going to eat different places. She enjoyed the outdoors watching her birds eat.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Cruse, Charles Sigler; parents, Wesley and Louise Griffin; brothers, Johnny Griffin, Burnice Griffin, Ray Griffin; sisters, Billie Watson, Bobbie Campbell Roberts, Brooksie Tindoll, Beverly Hendricks; brothers-in-laws, Troy Roberts, George Schull, Royce Tindoll, and Larry Hendricks.

Pallbearers serving will be Glenn Sowell, Brian Sigler, Joseph Richards, Caden Sowell, Blake Higginbothan, Steve Cox, Dakota Benavides, Kody Page, and Thomas McSwain.
