Kenneth Dean Cooper, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center
with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Military honors graveside service will follow at Wimberly Cemetery in
Huxley.
Born January 19, 1932, in Shenandoah, Iowa, Kenneth is the son of Elmer Cooper and Nea Andrews Cooper. He
served in the United States Air Force, retiring after twenty-one years of service. Kenneth was a member of
Toledo Bend Baptist Church in Huxley.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Cooper; daughters, Evelyn Enequist and husband John of Essexville, Michigan
and Carolyn Fulton and husband Mark of Bonanza, Oregon; son, William Cooper and wife Elaine of Orlando,
Florida; stepdaughters, Sarah Boyter of Longview and Brenda Lawson of Spring; stepson, Carl Fletcher of
Houston; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by stepsons, Donnie Fletcher and Ronnie Fletcher; and stepdaughter, Cathy Fletcher.
