Lois A. Grosskopf, 83, of Center, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, in Center.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center
with Hayden Dupree officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
Born September 7, 1941, in Middelburg, South Africa, Lois is the daughter of Louie DeJager and Grace DeJager.
She worked as a nurse at Green Acres Nursing Home, where she took care of many patients. Lois loved traveling
with her husband, and she loved animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Jaye and husband Leroy Laney of Center; grandchildren, Mark J. Nigro and wife
April, Jennifer M. Nigro, and Anna M. and husband Nicholas Heath; great grandchildren, Hayden A. Heath, Harper
S. Heath, Wyatt N. Nigro, and Miller Q. Nigro; sister, Christine Maree of South Africa; nephews, Kelly Grosskopf
and wife Barbara, Wayne Grosskopf and wife Lori, Danny Grosskopf and wife Hedi, and Kurt Grosskopf; and
special friends, Del Ray and Betty Lumpkin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Westly H. Grosskopf; and parents, Louie DeJager and Grace DeJager.
