Larry E. McDonald

Larry E. McDonald, 68, of Center, Texas, passed away on November 8,
2024, surrounded by loved ones in Dallas, Texas. He was born on
November 19, 1955, in Houston, Texas, to the late Nolan McDonald and
Virginia (Parker) McDonald.
Funeral service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at
Mangum Funeral Home, Center, Texas, with Bro. Micah McArthur and Bro.
Rusty Hall officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday, November 10, 2024,
beginning at 12PM at Mangum Funeral Home.
Larry was raised in Goober Hill community. He graduated from Shelbyville
High School Class of 1974. Larry met the love of his life, Larenda Bailey,
through a mutual friend in Shelbyville. The two became best friends and
married on July 9, 1976. They raised three wonderful children. Larry
enjoyed hunting, traveling with family, and operating equipment. He
enjoyed mowing, outdoors, and working with his tractor. He also loved
going out to eat and watching television when he had the opportunity.
Most of all Larry was a family man. Spending time with his family and
supporting his grandchildren was what he enjoyed the most.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Larenda Bailey McDonald.

Pallbearers serving will be Dave O’Neal, Russell Coy, Dustin Bailey, Ryan
Mackey, Kevin Rash, Carl Goodwin, Michael Henry Bush, and Ray Stroope.
Honorary pallbearers serving will be Wesley Warr, Jesse Rich, Richard
Tomlin, Dewayne Jacobs, and Jerry Raymond.
