Herbert Floyd Daw, 79, of Center, Texas, passed away on November 3,
2024, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on April 9, 1945, in Center,
Texas, to the late Hurshel Daw and Malissia (Tomlin) Daw.
Graveside service will be held at 11AM on Friday, November 8, 2024, at
Short Cemetery, with Bro. Derek Lightfoot officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 9:00 – 10:30 AM
at Mangum Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
Herbert was born and raised in Shelby County. He married the love of his
life, Mary “Ann” Bush, on December 24, 1968. They lived life abundantly
until her passing in 2013. Herbert retired from the Texas Department of
Transportation and spent his later years tending to his land and cattle. He
loved being outdoors on his tractor and tinkering with his cats and dogs.
He is survived by numerous distant relatives.
Herbert is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Daw.
