Dorothy Davis Goodwin, 95, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in Magnolia.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2024, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center
with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Gordon Vaughn will officiate. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery
in Center.
Born December 5, 1928, in Center, Dorothy is the daughter of Homer Davis and Velma Fowler Davis. She was a
loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Dorothy was known for her beautiful flower
gardens.
She is survived by her son, Allen Ray Goodwin and wife Pam of Livingston; daughter, Linda Lois Gumm of
Magnolia; grandchildren, Melissa Kleb and husband Kevin, Brittany Goodwin, Chrissy Landberg, and Amber
Gumm; great grandchildren, Chase Sanders, Brian Kleb, Logan Landberg, Carter Landberg, and Dylan Rasberry;
brother, James Davis and wife Joyce of Pineland; sister, Cassie Balch of Cedar Hill; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, Carl Goodwin; parents, Homer Davis and Velma Fowler Davis; brother, M.C.
Davis; and sister, Verna Mae Cooper.
