Hettie Analea Rawson

Hettie Analea Rawson, known as Analea to her friends and family, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 in
Carthage, Texas on September 6, 2024.
Analea was born in Logan, Texas to Guy Wimberly McFadden and Ellen Leona Wimberly. She was married to
Gwen Thomas “Skeet” Rawson of Tenaha, Texas.
She is survived by three children, Renee Phillips and her husband Kirk, Amanda Jackson and her husband John,
and Matt Rawson. She has three grandchildren, Jeremy Phillips, Tabby Phillips and Nate Jackson.
She attended high school in Logansport, Louisiana and attended Panola College and Stephen F. Austin State
University while raising her children. She earned a Masters Degree in Social Work at Stephen F. Austin State
University. In addition she attended the Unity School of Christianity and obtained an advanced degree in Religious
Studies and Theology. She was a licensed minister. Her career and interests were varied. She served as a
Director of the Tri-County Headstart Program and in addition obtained federal funding for a 12 county East Texas
Childhood Development Program during her tenure there. She was the Director of a medical and dental facility
which was built with federal funding in Logansport, Louisiana which was designed to provide services to residents
of rural East Texas and Louisiana. She resigned from the position to attend seminary school and became a
licensed minister. She served as an Ambassador for the Unity School of Christianity and traveled extensively for
several years. She later became the head minister of churches located in Denver, Colorado, Fort Worth, Texas
and Austin, Texas. She retired in 2015 and resided in New Mexico, Tenaha, and Carthage, Texas. Her interests
also included collecting antiques and remodeling old houses.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Ellen McFadden; her husband, Gwen Thomas “Skeet” Rawson;
her brother, Jimmy Larry McFadden; and her sisters, Vida Duke and Tony Lambert.
