Hicks Mortuary is announcing graveside service for Mr. Charles Christopher Goodwin (68). Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery in the Africa Community. Mr. Goodwin was born on April 23, 1955, in Center, Texas to Eddie Ruth Goodwin and the late C.W. Randall. Charles passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Pinegrove Nursing Facility. Pastor Marlin Cloudy will be officiating.

Charles is survived by: Son: Sekederick McCoy (Jarrien) and LaChadwrick Barnes of Houston, Texas Mother: Eddie Ruth Goodwin of Center, Texas Grandchildren: ShaKobie McCoy, Ebonie Williams McCoy and Jayce A. McCoy, Shaderick Barnes, Darell Barnes, and Asia Barnes Great-grandchildren: Khloe McCoy and Trey- Kash McCoy Siblings: Sandra Goodwin, John Wayne Goodwin (Toleshia), Lolita Randall, Deborah Randall, Kenneth Randall, and Joyce Nelson (Minister James Nelson)
