Hicks Mortuary is announcing funeral service for Mrs. Betty Joyce Gardner Sanders (79) of Center, Texas. Mrs. Betty Joyce Gardner Sanders was born on September 7, 1944, to the late Clabe Gardner and Annie Redman Gardner in Center, Texas. Betty was married to Johnnie Davis Sanders and departed her life on November 27, 2023, in Shreveport Louisiana. Funeral service will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 PM on December 2, 2023. Pastor David Mitchell will be the eulogist.

Betty is Survived by: Husband: Johnnie Davis Sanders Children: Valerie Hudson (David) of Texarkana, Texas; Sugarman Gardner (Debra), and Atoshia “Shanek” Ayers (Howard); Kiara Gardner (Sedarrin), Tkeyah Gardner, Johnnie Sanders (Niko), and Jamie Sanders. Grandchildren: Gary Williams, Jazmine Hudson, Christopher Gardner, Terrance Williams, Keyunda Williams, Hope Greene, Shalisa Betts, Elizabeth Gardner, and Jada Randle
