Jose De La Luz Carrasco, 79, of Lamesa, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, in San Augustine.

Funeral services will be held in Lamesa, Texas, under the direction of Gonzalez Funeral Home.

Born December 13, 1943, in Cuchillo Parado Chihuahua, Mexico, Jose is the son of Nicodemes Carrasco and Cristina Rubio.

He is survived by his daughters, Sonia and husband Tim Jacobs of Joaquin and Maria A. Carrasco and Orioll Licon of Borger; grandchildren, Natalie Ovalle and Doug Moffett of Amarillo, Blane Bailey of Joaquin, Carlos Carrasco III of Borger, and Arnaldo Carrasco of Borger; and great grandchild, Evyn Ovalle of Amarillo. Preceded in death by his children, Maria Leticia Carrasco and Arnaldo Carrasco; father, Nicodemes Carrasco; mother, Cristina Rubio; one sister; and two brothers.
