Bobby Dean Cheatwood, 68, of Carthage, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, in Tyler.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Watson & Sons Chapel. Interment will follow at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana. Born October 22, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Bobby is the son of Joe Neil Cheatwood and Iva Jean Pierce Cheatwood. He loved hunting, fishing, and dancing. He was a great mechanic who could work on and fix just about anything. He also had a love for animals of all kinds.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber Cheatwood Whiddon and husband Aaron; sisters and brothers, Janice Bonner and husband James, Roy Cheatwood and wife Jackie, Patti Hogg and husband Cleve, Carolyn Lee, and Judy Choate; nieces and nephews, Jon Bonner, Jamie Briggs, Roy Gene Cheatwood, David Cheatwood, Patrick Hogg, Mark Cheatwood, Eric Collier, Neil Choate, and Debbie Choate.
