Jack Adams

Jack Adams, 85, of Center, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, in Center. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Robert Prothro and Bro. Tim Verner officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Center.

Born April 11, 1938, in Center, Jack is the son of Robert “Bud” Adams and Pearl Hughes Adams. Jack served in the United States Navy. He was a member of VFW Post 8904, Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149, and New Hope Methodist Church.

He is survived by his children, Ronnie Harold Adams and Hope Stuart of Joaquin, Donnie Earl Adams and LaVaunda of Shelbyville, Michael Wayne Adams and Liz of Center, Deborah Annette Doyle and Don of Center; grandchildren, Shane Adams and Mandy, Shade Adams, Wade Adams and Haley, Amanda Hassfurther and Eric, Michael Adams Jr., Jessie Adams and Kayla, Casey Adams, Brandon Anthony and Kelsey, Cody Anthony and Kaitlyn, and Cameron Anthony; great grandchildren, Timmy Adams, Stevie Adams, Turner Adams, Emma Grace Adams, Lily Jane Adams, Charlotte Hassfurther, Caiden Adams, Greylon Anthony, Kynlee Anthony, Canyon Anthony, Kaizley Anthony, Harlyn Anthony, Eli Hassfurther, Evie Hassfurther, and Journey Adams; brother-in-law, Lyndon Livingston and Paula of Kinder, Louisiana and Mark Stockle of Ruston, Louisiana; and numerous other relatives.

Preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Adams; parents, Robert “Bud” Adams and Pearl Hughes Adams; brothers, Franklin Carroll Adams, Walter Harold Adams, and Robert Hilton “Baby Joe” Adams. Robert Hilton, and “Baby Joe” Adams. Pallbearers will be Brandon Anthony, Cody Anthony, Wade Adams, Jessie Adams, Shane Adams, and Robert Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Hardy, Paul Parker, Jimmy Strong, Keith Kennedy, Claude Lucas, O’Neal McCauley, Don Wheeler, Ronnie Borders, James Lowe, Ray Clackley, Billy Bob McAdams, Randy Robertson, and Mark Stockle.
