Wayne Crowder

Wayne Crowder was born November 2, 1965 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Bobby Crowder and Ben Johnson. Wayne graduated from Center High School in Center, Texas.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Bobby Crowder; his father, Ben Johnson; his brother, Willie Crowder; his grandmother, Katy Pennington; and his aunt, Glenda Evans.

Wayne had an infectious laugh and a larger-than-life personality upon entering a room. He was an entrepreneur and ended every conversation with an “I Love You” to his family. He owned his Legacy by living life on his own terms. He will forever be missed.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory a son, Tristan D. Patton of Center; seven grandkids, Jamarian, Tykedren, Jakadence, Trystan, Treyden, McKenna, and Khylee; two brothers, Terry Crowder of Center, Kenneth Johnson of Alabama; four sisters, Kathy Crowder (Calvin) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Ruby Johnson of Nacogdoches, Rosetta Berry (Roy) of Woods Community, and Debra Johnson (John) of Center; four aunts, Betty Johnson, Ethel Moore (Mike), Linda Evans, and Geneva Curtis of Center; a special uncle, Archie Bennett of Jacksonville, Florida; three uncles, Lawrence Pennington, Charles Wilson, and Robert Pennington of Louisiana; two special cousins, Rashael and Zhan Bennett of Jacksonville, Florida; a special friend, Michael Cloudy (Candel) of Center; along with a host of nieces, nephews, with many cousins, extended family, and life-long friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Abundant Love Ministries in Center with Bro. Marlin Cloudy officiating. Interment will follow at Blount Cemetery in Shelby County. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.
