Ruth Annette Dingler Grant Oswalt, 86, of Huxley, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Gordon Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Born August 31, 1936, in Tyler, Texas, Annette is the daughter of Floyd Dingler and Posy Ruth Dingler. In 1960, she married Bernard Grant and together they had two children, Belinda and Connie. After Bernard’s death, she met and married Bobby Oswalt who had three boys – Kevin, Kyle, and Kreig. Together, they raised the five children in Huxley, Texas. She worked in the medical field for many years before retiring. She loved to do daily Bible reading, sew, crochet, can, and anything crafty. She loved more than anything spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devout precious Christian Lady and was always more concerned about everyone else and never complained. She is survived by daughters, Belinda O’Rear and husband Keith and Connie Vaughn and husband Gilbert; sons, Kevin Oswalt and wife Shani, Kyle Oswalt and wife Amy, and Kreig Oswalt and wife Natalie; special granddaughter and “best friend”, Karissa Vaughn; grandchildren, Bree Bearden and husband Colton, Zachary Oswalt, Chasity Willoughby and husband Levi, Coty Oswalt and fiancé Tara, Cade Oswalt, Savannah Arnold and husband Gary, Roper Oswalt and wife Julianna, Kaleb Oswalt, Karoline Oswalt, and Kallie Oswalt; great grandchildren, Charlee Jo Bearden, Grant Lane Bearden, Elly Willoughby, Tillie Willoughby, Kinsleigh Arnold, Ella Arnold, Jud Oswalt, and two more on the way; brother and sisters-in-law, Weldon English, Margie Cutia, J.H. Oswalt and wife Pat, Martha Rogers and husband Jim, Patsy McDonald and husband Mike, and Linda Oswalt; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Preceded in death by husband, Bernard Grant; husband, Bobby Oswalt; parents, Floyd and Posy Dingler; six sisters; three brothers; brother-in-law, Jimmy Oswalt; and sister-in-law, Edra English. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude and love to Vicky Sneed and staff for their compassionate care during the last three years.
