Darlene Gardner

Mrs. Darlene Gardner was born on July 6, 1966, to Earsel and Molene Mathews Gardner. She was a member of the Lilly of Carroll Chapel CME Church.

Her strong will to live, unwavering Faith in God, the love and prayers of family and friends, and many supporters carried her through months of pain. Yet throughout her own struggle, she managed to still love more than ever and kept a smile on her face. Darlene enjoyed her life with her friends, sitting on the porch, drinking coffee, and talking for hours.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Earsel and Molene Gardner; her two brothers: Waymon Gardner and Dewey Gardner; and a brother-in-law: A.T. Cartwright and 1 sister: Annie Mae Gardner. She leaves to cherish her memories of 2 sons and 1 daughter: Derrick Gardner and wife Jeanie of Spring, Texas, and Eric Gardner of Center, Texas, one daughter Tiffanie Gardner; four grandboys: Clydarius, Ja’Mori, Ja’Quez, and Ja’Dus. 1 granddaughter: Shakira Bell; 1 great-grandson: Bryson Amir Johnson; 2 sisters: Dorothy (Leo) McCollister of Tyler, Texas; Dorothy Lavearn Cartwright of Shelbyville, Texas; and a h
