Charles Lemoine Williams

Charles Lemoine Williams, 90, of Center, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, in Nacogdoches.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Nathan Cox will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Center.

Born April 4, 1932, in Shelby County, Charles is the son of Inez Nail and Kaufman Pearl Williams.  He served in the United States Army.  Later, he worked in the poultry and propane industry for over 30 years and also served as County Commissioner for 12 years.  Charles was a member of Sam Samford Masonic Lodge #149 and Northside Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Williams of Center; children, Andy Williams of Center, Matt Williams of Center, Kim Williams of Center, Jan Williams of Bronson, Jon Davis of Center, and Jason Davis and wife Felicia of Douglass; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; a host of friends; stepsons, Mitch Yarbrough and wife Sandy of Center, Kirk Yarbrough and wife Dinett of Center, and Kraig Yarbrough and wife Cindy of Winnsboro; also, a number of step grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Jackie Williams; daughter, Kay Stewart; grandchildren, Zachary Stewart and Patrick Tyre; parents, Inez Nail and Kaufman Pearl Williams; brothers, Doyle Williams and K.P. Williams; and sister, Mabel Creasy and Ethel Baldwin.

Pallbearers will be Ty Williams, Cam Williams, Branden Davis, Franklin Windham, Corey Yarbrough, Jared Yarbrough, Bryce Hunnicutt, Nathan Hunnicut, Adam Pleasant, and Austin Williams.
