Arnold Bert Gordon, 86, of Gig Harbor, Washington, passed away 15 December 2020 at his home. He was born 18 August 1934 to Arnold Ruel and Oneida Ramsey Gordon of Joaquin Texas. Bert grew up in Joaquin, was a standout athlete at Joaquin High School in multiple sports, and served in the US Army during 1956-1958 and again in 1961. He was a graduate of both JHS and Texas A&I College in Kingsville TX. Bert worked nearly 50 years in oilfields around the globe, gaining particularly high reputation as one of the world's leading experts in offshore exploration drilling. More important, he was a loving and generous father, possessed a keen sense of humor, and provided a magnificent example for his sons, his family, and all who knew him. He is sorely missed.
Bert's cremains will be interred with a graveside service in Joaquin Cemetery in Joaquin Texas, at 11:00 a.m. on 15 January 2022.
