Red Anderson, 86, of Center, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Center.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Neuville Cemetery in Shelby County.  

Born June 21, 1935, Red is the son of Leonard Elton Anderson and Frances Rachel Oliver Anderson.  His career was in the poultry industry and later he did odd jobs such as mowing and picking up cans until his health declined.  In previous years, you could find him playing his guitar on Saturday nights on the Center Square.  Red was credited with being a good pool shark.

He was a member of Neuville Baptist Church.

He is survived by brother, Charles H. Anderson of Colmesneil; sisters, Mary Ellen Harris of Joaquin and Grace Arlene Bruton of Colmesneil; nephew, Spencer Bruton of Colmesneil; niece, Thresa Jones of Joaquin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Elton Anderson and Frances Rachel Oliver Anderson; brothers, Leonard E. Anderson and Lamar Anderson; and sister, Linda Smalley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made for final expenses.
