Murlene K. Lambert

 

Murlene K. Lambert, 72, of Joaquin, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, in Lufkin.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 26, 2021, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021.  Bro. James Duncan and Lee McLintock will officiate.  Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin.

Born August 23, 1949, in Decatur, Illinois, Murlene is the daughter of Murl Knight and Delores Adams Knight.  She was a member of Logansport Missionary Baptist Church.  

She is survived by her husband, Rodney L. Lambert of Joaquin; daughter, Reasha Walters and husband Scott of Lufkin; grandchildren, Claire Elizabeth Walters of Lufkin and Eli Lambert Walters of Lufkin; sisters, Michelle Rodgers of Benton, Louisiana and Mona Cannon and husband Rodney of Ruston, Louisiana; half-brother, Garey Ford of Pascagoula, Mississippi; nieces and nephews, DeLisa Mercer and husband Monroe of Bossier City, Louisiana, Robin Hart and husband Alan of Ruston, Louisiana, Staci Williams and spouse Stacy of Carthage, Devon Cannon of Ruston, Louisiana, Randy Willis of Bossier City, Louisiana, Rusty Lambert and wife Julie of Center, Doug Rodgers and wife Lindsey of Bossier City, Louisiana, and David Rodgers of Ruston, Louisiana; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rushing Lambert and wife Toni of Joaquin and LaRee Bounds and husband Randy of Joaquin; numerous great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Preceded in death by parents, Murl Knight and Delores Adams Knight; sister-in-law, Edna Lambert Willis; brother-in-law, David Willis; nephew, Chip Willis; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Avis Lambert and Edgar Lambert.

Pallbearers will be David Rodgers, Rodney Cannon, Scott Walters, Monroe Mercer, Rusty Lambert, Randy Willis, Nick Lambert, and Dylan DeChamplain.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Logansport Missionary Baptist Church, Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin, or a charity of choice.
