Christopher Lee Mayhorn

 

Christopher Lee Mayhorn, 42, of Hazen, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Watson & Sons Chapel with D.J. Dickerson officiating.  His wishes were to be cremated following the services.

Born November 26, 1978, in Laurel, Mississippi, Christopher is the son of Patrick Gandy and Donna Reuther Gandy.  In his youth, he was a member of both JROTC and FCA. He became a correctional officer and also served as a firefighter. Christopher attended Tenaha Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Mayhorn of Hazen, Arkansas; children, David Mayhorn of Valdosta, Georgia, Courtney Mayhorn of Florida, Renee Mayhorn of Florida, Mathew Hughes of Joaquin, and Leeanna Hughes of Carthage; grandchildren, Collin Lovelady, Hadley Hughes Peek, Liam Lovelady, and Adaline Lovelady; Texas Parents, Penny and Wayne Jones; brothers, Patrick Mayhorn of Hazard, Kentucky, and Nathan Jones and fiancé, Rachel Scriver, of Center; sisters, Janell Speagle of Mississippi and Kylee Moore and husband Cheyenne of Center; also numerous niece, nephews, and other relatives.

Preceded in death by mother, Donna Voyles; father, Randy Mayhorn; biological father, Patrick Gandy; and sisters, Carolyn Perry and Barbara Hodge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Jones, Richard Rocha, J.R. Lott, Rashad Randle, Scott Burkhalter, and Kaleb Lovelady.
