James Lewis Honeycutt

 

 

James Lewis Honeycutt, 80, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2020 at his residence in Kingwood, Texas. He was born on September 12, 1939 in Timpson, Texas, to the late Delmar J. Honeycutt and Bobbie M. (Smith) Honeycutt. Graveside service will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at New Prospect Cemetery, FM1645, Timpson, Texas, 75975. 

 

James grew up in the Aldine area of Houston.  He graduated Mac Arthur High School.  Later he served his great country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked most of his adult life in insurance sales. James loved cars and enjoyed traveling, visiting many places throughout life.  He enjoyed a great cigar and loved Blue Bell ice cream.  James most precious moments were those spent with family and friends.  

 

He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

 

James is preceded in death by his parents, Delmar J. and Bobbie M. Smith Honeycutt; brothers, JB Honeycutt, John Wesley Honeycutt, and David Honeycutt.
