William Morris Jeffress

 

 


William Morris Jeffress, 90, of Gary, Texas passed away on June 13, 2020, surrounded by loved ones at his home.  He was born on January 18, 1930, in the Murvaul Community, Panola County, to the late William Jewel “Buddy” Jeffress and Naomi Haynes Jeffress. Morris was a” jack of all trades”, he was a truck driver, welder, diesel mechanic and above all a servant of the Lord. He was a deacon of the Antelope Valley Baptist Church in Gillette, Wyoming until he moved back home to Texas, where he became a member of the First Baptist Church of Tenaha. He loved to hunt, fish and witness to others of God’s love.

 

He is survived by:

Norma Jean “Jeannie” Sims and husband James of Hughes Springs
Special friend Larry Terry and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Troy is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jeffress; Parents, Son Gary Lynn Jeffress; Brothers: Wink Jeffress, Ronald Jeffress and Donald Jeffress; Sister: Marry Ann Gooch: Son-in-law: James “Bulldog” Jackson.


Mangum Funeral Home, Center, is in charge of arrangements and there will be a celebration of his life at a later date. 


The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Pine Grove Nursing Home and Affinity Hospice for their devoted and loving care.
