Larry was born and raised in Port Byron, New York. He graduated Port Byron High School and immediately joined the workforce.  His love for crepe myrtle trees and where they grew and bloomed, brought him to East Texas in 1978. Larry worked for Orkin many years as an exterminator.  His entrepreneurship ability led him to open Larry’s Pest Control, which he owned and operated for over 25 years.  He served many customers over the years in the East Texas area.  Larry was a very social person, he never met a stranger.  He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved gardening, each year planting a huge garden so that he could share with others.  When he wasn’t in the garden you could find him fishing or hunting..  He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his sons, Larry J. Campanello of Arkansas City, Kansas, Jeff Campanello of Leland, North Carolina; daughter, Tina Smith of Auburn, New York; grandchildren, Katie and Timothy Smith; sisters, Santa Pelc of Auburn, New York, Annie Okiec of Buffalo, New York; special friend, Claudia Bailey of Tenaha, Texas; and a host of friends that will miss him dearly.
