Mary Louise Chessher Kunkel

Mary Louise Chessher Kunkel, 29, of Nacogdoches, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020, in Covington, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2020, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.

Born May 1, 1990, she was the daughter of Cecil Chessher and Vickie Regina Bailey Chessher.  Mary was blessed with four children and a husband, whom she loved dearly.  She was a spontaneous young lady and a big dreamer, determined to make each dream come true.  One of her finest traits was her positive attitude.  Spending time with her family, whether on the beach, walking out in the woods, or just a get-together were times she treasured. Cooking (and eating) was a hobby for her and she was so proud of each meal she prepared.  Mary especially enjoyed the fun time she and her husband would have making BBQ. Her true personality could be seen as she danced with music blaring.  Mary loved the Lord and hid God’s Word in her heart.  She was a member of The Called Out Church in Center.

She is survived by her husband, Bo Kunkel of Nacogdoches; children, Elijah Robert Kunkel, Am’Mariah Jozlynn Kunkel, Zaid Liam Kunkel, and Aryah Re’Cecily Kunkel all of Nacogdoches; parents; sisters, Sarah Chessher and Michael of Center, Shannon McGuire of Amarillo, Chasity Cooper and husband Shane of Center, and Leah Woodhatch of Nacogdoches; brother, Chad Chessher and wife Jenney of Center; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members; Betty Perez; and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy E. Bailey, Earl Chessher Sr. and Margaret “Margie” Chessher; uncle, Earl Chessher Jr.; a grandfather, and a niece.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to assist with final expenses.
