Cecil Tyler, 73, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 in Lufkin, Texas. He was born on August 23, 1946 in Shelby County to Vertice Tyler and Dorothy Golden Tyler. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Old Center Cemetery in Center, Texas. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Mangum Funeral Home. 

 

Cecil always enjoyed the opportunity to be out on the water fishing or in the kitchen cooking. His most treasured moments were those spent with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Iva Dell Tyler; parents, Vertis Humpy Tyler and Dorothy Golden Tyler; son, Bruce Bolton; brother, Jimmy Tyler; sisters, Minnie Pearl Tyler and Louise Tyler Harris; grandchild, Joshua Colton Hooper; and special friend, James “Buddy” Pratt.

 

Pallbearers will be Derek Bolton, Hayden Bolton, Kyle Tyler, Britain Tyler and Braiden Tyler. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Tyler.
