Kay Fodge

 

 

Kay Fodge, 69, of Gary, Texas passed away on October 1, 2019 in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Born December 24, 1949, in Sikeston, Missouri, Kay is the daughter of Glenn William Greene and the late Betty Jo (Marvel) Greene.  Visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas.  Funeral service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 3PM at Taylor Funeral Home, Timpson, Texas with Bro. Darrell Owens and Bro. Carroll Jones officiating.  Private burial will be held at a later date.

 

Kay was born and raised in Sikeston, Missouri. She graduated from Sikeston High School Class of 1967.  She married the love of her life, Mike, while he was working for her father, and the two were joined together in December, following her graduation.  Their love for one another has immensly grown over the last 51 years together rasing their children and now enjoying a grandson.  

 

She worked as an Instructional Aide for Timpson ISD for more than 18 years before retiring in 2015.  Spoiling children was her true act of kindness, but spoiling her grandson, Charlie was the absolute best.  Kay enjoyed many things like crocheting and reading.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. Kay was a devoted pastors’ wife for the past 35 years.  She is a member of West Hamilton Missionary Baptist Church.  

 

Kay is survived by her husband, Mike Fodge of Gary, Texas; son, Charles Michael Glenn Fodge of Moberly, Missouri; daughters, Kalin Jo Fodge of Hallsville, Texas, Sheila Lynn Harris and husband, DJ of Hallsville, Texas, Cheryl Ann Fodge of Joaquin, Texas; father, Glenn William Greene of Morehouse, Missouri; grandson, David Charles Harris; brother, Glenn W. “Dub” Greene Jr. and wife Kris of Clarkdale, Arizona; sister, Belinda Gay Morrow of Sikeston, Missouri; nieces, Emily Mueller of Bertrand, Missouri, Stephanie Parker of Springfield, Missouri, Kristen Thompson of Essex, Missouri; nephews, Daniel Thompson of Sikeston, Missouri, Richard Selleck of Gardner, Kansas; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo (Marvel) Greene.
