Janet Lynn Gipson Luman, 48, of Mansfield, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Dennis Landtroop officiating.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Ms. Luman was born August 27, 1971, in Lufkin, Texas, to James Walter Gipson and Mary Lynn Belsha Gipson.  She enjoyed writing poetry and helping others in any way possible.  Ms. Luman attended Church on the Rock in Logansport, Louisiana.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Luman and wife Donna of Timpson, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua Luman, Chloe Luman, Lyndon Nichols, Lathan Nichols, Ethan Luman, Madison Luman, Landon Luman, Luke Luman, Katherine Luman, Amara Luman, Cora Luman, Erin Luman, Destiny Luman, and Dustin Luman; stepchildren, Paul Luman of Dallas, Glen Luman of Carthage, Texas, and Rebecca Woods of Cabot, Arkansas; father, James Gipson of San Augustine, Texas; brothers, Jamie “Bubba” Gipson of Logansport, Louisiana and Shelby Gipson of Tyler, Texas; sister-in-law, Lora Taylor of Carthage, Texas; grandfather, Howard Belsha of Center; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her stepson, Ronnie Luman Jr.; mother, Mary Lynn Gipson; grandparents, Jeanette Belsha and JD and Edna Gipson; aunt and uncle, Olga and Shelly Bowman.

Pallbearers will be Paul Luman, Glen Luman, Caleb Clark, Lathan Nichols, Lyndon Nichols, and Mark Anderson.
