Lovie Lenora Dickerson

 

 

Mrs. Lovie Lenora Dickerson, age 94, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019.

Born January 23, 1925, in Quitman, Texas, to parents Jessie Wise and Beatrice Walton Wise, she had been a longtime resident of the Broaddus area. Mrs. Dickerson worked for a number of years at Broaddus Independent School District as a teacher's aid before retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

 

Her survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Edith Sue and Roger Graybill, Jo Hanna and Jack Gibson, and Kathy and Johnny Scherffius, all of Broaddus, and Callie and Tim Bradberry of Angleton, Texas; a sister, Gladys Rachel Trojcak and husband Frankie of Sugar Land, Texas; brother, Malcom "Butch" Wise and wife Melinda of Trinity, Texas; grandchildren, James Graybill, Becky Wall, Jeri Bryan, Hallie Sabrsula, and Lela Siegel; and great-grandchildren, Joel Wall, Jacob Graybill, Dylan Sabrsula, Ethan Sabrsula, Liam Sabrsula, Hanna Siegel, Heath Siegel, and Hunter Siegel.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. "Cheezy" Dickerson; parents, Jessie and Bea Wise; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia "Gennie" and Paul Todd; and a brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur Joe and Faye (Bennefield) Wise.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas.

 

Funeral services are set for 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the Broaddus Church of Christ, located off Hwy. 147 on Buchanan Street in Broaddus, Texas, with Eric Wise officiating and Kevin Wise as song leader. Interment will follow at Broaddus Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Tim Bradberry, James Graybill, Jacob Graybill, Joel Wall, Jonathon Sabrsula, and Michael Siegel with Jimmy Bryan as an alternate.
