Obituary of Jerry Wayne Kennemer


Funeral Services for Jerry Wayne Kennemer, age 79, of San Augustine, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Billy Waller, and Bro. Sonny Scarborough officiating.  Graveside services will be in the Jones Prairie Cemetery at 5 p.m. Sunday evening,  located at 1138 E. FM 942, in Leggett, Texas  77350. Visitation will be Saturday evening, May 25, 2019, from the hours of 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, in San Augustine.

 

Jerry was born to the late Helen Lucille (Rose) Kennemer and Virgil Dexter Kennemer on July 23, 1939, in Cleburne, Texas, and passed from this life in the early morning hours of Friday, May 24, 2019, in Lufkin, Texas.  He was a retired pipefitter for local union chapter 211.  He dearly loved his family, his dear wife, and children very much, and was of the Baptist faith. 

 

Those who are most dear to him and left to cherish his memory include, his beloved wife, of Lou Kennemer of San Augustine; his dear children, Kimberly Beach and her husband, Todd of Conroe; Steven Kennemer and his wife, J.J. of Austin; Greg Kennemer and his wife, Karen of Augustine, and Tammy Hardy and her husband, Tim of San Augustine; his beloved grandchildren, Keegan Beach, Kaleigh Beach, Eric Kennemer, Jay Frels, Rachel Kennemer, Crystal Gallo, Joseph Hardy, Fisher Hardy, Carly Hardy and Faith Hardy; his beloved great-grandchildren, Timber Hardy, Kaylee Kennemer, Ryleigh Kennemer, Winter Frels and Haven Frels and his beloved sister, Wonda Doiron and her husband, Carl. 

 

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Virgil Dexter and Helen Lucille Kennemer; his sister, Janie Miller, and brothers, Charlie Kennemer and Larry Kennemer.
