Eris Odelle Bowers, 93, of Tenaha, Texas, passed away on February 4, 2019 in Tenaha, Texas. She was born on November 4, 1925 in Shelby County, Texas to Jesse Eric Christian and Mattie Kyle Christian. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. 

Eris is survived by her husband of 72 years, Jesse Bowers of Tenaha, Texas; son, Eric Bowers of Ashville, North Carolina; daughters, Mary Eve Brumett and husband, Tommy of McKinney, Texas and Prudence Thrasher Stiver and husband, Chuck of Longview, Texas.
