Arlene Lefevre, 98, of Center, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017, in Center.

 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Mardy Guidry and Bro. Lee Guidry, Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Center.

 

Mrs. Lefevre was born June 25, 1918, in Center, to John Carroll Ross and Emma Olevia Squires Ross.  She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years, at which her starting wage was $1.00 per hour.  Mrs. Lefevre was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Golden Harvest Club and Golden Harvest Singers.

Nelda Guidry of Center

Barbara Ann Knight and husband, Courtland, of Lockport, Louisiana

 

Son: Ira Lefevre and wife, Mary, of New Iberia, Louisiana

 

28 Grandchildren

 

Numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren

 

Preceded in death by

Husband: Elza Lefevre

Daughter: Reba Hooper

Grandson: Jerry Bivens

Parents: John Carroll Ross and Emma Olevia Squires Ross

 

Pallbearers will be Mike Lengl, Jamie Guidry, J.J. Fanguy, Eddie Chase, Keith Windham and Lynn Lefevre.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Lengl, Matt Lefevre, Darrell Fanguy, Mardy Guidry, Lee Guidry, John Freeman, Jesse Freeman and Devon Knight.
