Mrs. Wilma Murlene McMahon

Wilma Murlene (Scott) McMahon, 80, of Center, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Pine Grove Nursing Home.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Strong Cemetery in Huxley. Visitation will be one hour prior to the graveside service starting at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Strong Cemetery.

She was born in Shelby County, Texas to George Allen Scott and Annie (Bass) Scott. Murlene was a homemaker, bringing new meaning to the word. She was a tremendously devoted mother, caring for her family and she was so devoted to caring for her special needs child, James even after falling ill herself. Good hearted and “tough as nails”, she had an open door policy to anyone and everyone. Despite her own personal hardships, she had a terrific sense of humor and could lighten any load. While personal circumstances prevented her from attending church, she enjoyed reading her bible and tuning in to Center First Baptist Church on Sundays. A cornerstone of her family, she will be deeply missed.
