Janis Doggett

 
 
Janis Doggett, 77, of Center, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016, in Nacogdoches. Following a long battle with cancer. 
 
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center with Bro. Carl Smith and Bro. John Bender officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service at Watson & Sons Funeral Home, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
 
Mrs. Doggett was born May 22, 1938, in Center, to Joe Youngblood and Melba Brown Youngblood.  She was employed at Farmers State Bank in Center for 39 years. Mrs. Doggett was a member of Order of Eastern Star Center Chapter #348 for over 50 years and was also a member of First Baptist Church in Center.  She liked to travel a lot and loved the scenery and the people she met.  She enjoyed painting, especially Christmas yard art. Mrs. Doggett was a doting Grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Husband of 50 years: Tommy Doggett
 
Daughter: Sonya Parker
 
Grandson: Christopher Joseph “Joey” Parker and wife, Alesia
 
Great Grandchildren:
Christopher John “CJ” Parker
Michaela LeAnne Parker
Ethan Lee Parker
 
Special Friend: John David Parker
 
Numerous other relatives and many many friends
 
Preceded in death by
Parents: Joe Youngblood and Melba Brown Youngblood
 
Pallbearers will be Raybob Soape, Mark A Harris, David Chadwick, Luke Motley, Ronnie Wilkins and John Parker.
