From 4.5 to 5 inches of Rain has fallen in Nacogdoches, Angelina Counties

Rain continues to fall across deep east Texas and western Louisiana this morning and there's a 100 percent chance we'll have more today, 60 percent tonight and 50 percent on Wednesday before the slow moving cold front exits the area. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain today. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Shelby, San Augustine, Sabine, Nacogdoches and Angelina Counties, as well as DeSoto and Sabine Parishes until 4 this afternoon. Additional rainfall averaging between one and two inches, with isolated higher amounts are possible today. Overnight, the higher rainfall amounts were just to our west and southwest as from 4.5 to 5 inches fell from 10 last night to midnight in Lufkin through Nacogdoches counties in a short period of time. There were numerous locations in those two counties where water was reported over the roadway. Again, we're under a Flash Flood Watch until 4 this afternoon. There's an additional 2 to 4 inches of rain possible through Wednesday.
