The Timpson City Council meets at 5:30 this afternoon, and among the agenda items for possible action will be considering the American Legion Post #90's request to place the Wall of Honor at So-So Park; advertise for bids to repair the amphitheater at So-So Park; approval of early voting clerks and election judge and clerks for the May 10 election; enter into an inter-local agreement with the Timpson ISD to have a joint election; and  possible action on a sewer problem on Austin Street at the Methodist Church with J&D Construction and Goodwin-Lasiter. Department reports will also be given. In the municipal court report for the month of February, over $35-thousand in fines and fees were given by the city's police department, of which $18-thousand is the city of Timpson's share.

The Joaquin City Council has a regular meeting at 6 this evening, and among the agenda items for discussion and possible action will be approval of an excessive force & equal rights resolution as part of grant requirements; an update on drought contingency plan; and renewal of copier contract.
