We want to follow up on a story brought to you Friday morning on this newscast. It was said emergency personnel responded to the Tyson Foods complex in Center around Midnight Friday morning to the report of a female employee injured in the processing area of the local plant. I reached out to the local Tyson facility, which referred me to corporate public relations, and I was told an incident did take place. However, the worker involved is not an employee of Tyson Food, but rather an outside contract sanitation worker working on the sanitation (third) shift. Public relations said since the worker was not employee of Tyson Foods, they were not in a position to share any other information. Corporate said the incident was under investigation.
