Shelby County Commissioners voted 3-0 to appoint current deputy clerk Debora Reilly to be the new Tax/Assessor , replacing Pam Shofner who reportedly resigned due to family reasons.

Reilly will be eligible to run for the office in December.  The winner of that election will serve the remainder of Shofner's unexpired term.

County Commissioner Roscoe McSwain was the one commissioner absent from yesterday's meeting.
