ANGELINA COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) investigated a two-vehicle fatality crash on the evening of May 15, 2019, on FM 1669, about five miles north of Huntington.

 

The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 6:20 p.m., a 1995 Peterbilt truck tractor semi-trailer, transporting oil field equipment, was traveling north when a piece of unsecured equipment swung over into the southbound lane, striking a 2019 Chevrolet pickup.

 

The driver of the Peterbilt is identified as Jonathon Keller, 41, from Keller, TX. Keller was not injured during the crash.

 

The driver of the Chevrolet is identified as Jeremy Johnson, 38, from Mineral Wells. Johnson was pronounced deceased at the scene by an Angelina County Justice of the Peace.

 

This crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
